Let’s celebrate, elevate, and empower together.\nRegister now ( https://app.emarketeer.com/ext/form/entry.php?m=394400a38dcf344fe273b8f69f5163a310972f6&Origin=Direct )\n \nOur Speakers \n\nKatie Wallace – 2025 Modern Apprentice of The Year and CNC machining apprentice at Hydrasun \nKatie Wallace is a CNC machining apprentice at Hydrasun, where she has developed a strong passion for precision engineering and advanced manufacturing. Since beginning her apprenticeship, Katie has consistently demonstrated a commitment to learning and growing within the industry.\nShe has gained hands-on experience in a wide range of technical areas, including CNC turning, welding, and mechanical assembly, skills that have made her a valuable and versatile team member on the shop floor. Her enthusiasm for engineering is matched by her drive to excel, and this dedication has not gone unnoticed. This year, Katie was named as Modern Apprentice of the Year at the Scottish Engineering Awards Dinner in May.\n \n\nNatasha Dell – 2023 Young Engineer of the Year Runner Up and Engineering Bid Management at Thales\nNatasha’s career began after she completed her Masters in Physics from the University of Southampton. Her initial role was as a software engineering graduate within an investment bank, where she worked in full stack development. This experience provided her with foundational skills in software engineering and exposed her to the complexities of large-scale systems.\nAfter gaining valuable experience in the banking sector, Natasha transitioned to Thales, where she took on a role as an embedded software engineer working on the sighting systems for UK navy submarines. Within Thales, she then transitioned to algorithms, working on projects that required integrating object classification algorithms into different systems.\nAs Natasha’s knowledge grew she began leading algorithm deployment, most recently leading an autonomous vehicle initiative for the UK MOD. This role was a combination of technical leadership, team management and stakeholder engagement. It was a challenging experience and required rapid learning.\nCurrently, Natasha remains at Thales, recently taking on a slightly different role in engineering bid management.\n \n\nNatasha Kinnear – Head of Partnerships at Primary Engineer \nNatasha Kinnear is Head of Partnerships at Primary Engineer, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making engineering accessible from an early age. Through classroom based engineering projects, teacher training and national competitions, Primary Engineer connects pupils with real engineers and real-world challenges to inspire the next generation.\nNatasha is personally passionate about encouraging more women into engineering and works closely with industry create meaningful opportunities that show young girls they belong in the sector. She believes that early, inclusive experiences are key to building a more diverse and representative engineering workforce.\n \nOur Panel\nThis year, we are excited to be adding something a little different to our INWED breakfast event line up in the form of a panel discussion.
