Had Fab Member Networking and Best Practice Meeting
Had Fab
Thursday 20 August 2026
Join us on Thursday 20 August, 10am – 1pm, for an opportunity to share common challenges, gain insight into how fellow member companies are continuously improving their businesses, and hear more about Had Fab, one of the UK’s leading engineering and steel fabrication businesses, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of steel and aluminium structures that support the nation’s critical infrastructure.
From its facility in Tranent, East Lothian, Had Fab’s team delivers transmission towers, substations, gantries and other essential fabricated assets that are helping to enable the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
During the tour, attendees will see first-hand how significant investment in its facilities, machinery and digital systems is increasing capacity and productivity, while its growing workforce is supporting unprecedented demand driven by major Power Transmission & Distribution programmes such as ASTI for SSE and the Great Grid Upgrade for National Grid.
The visit will provide an insight into how Scottish manufacturing is playing a key role in strengthening the UK’s electricity network and delivering the infrastructure needed for a low-carbon future.
