Develop the Leaders Who Drive Your Business Forward

This course has been developed to address an identified need within the engineering and manufacturing sector. Frontline managers and supervisors occupy a uniquely influential position in workplace health and safety — they are the individuals who translate policy into practice, who conduct toolbox talks, oversee risk assessments, and respond first when things go wrong. Yet this group frequently receives the least formal health and safety training compared to the safety professionals above them or the training given to operatives below them.

The course is designed to close that gap. It is structured to be practically focused, legally grounded, and immediately applicable to the day-to-day realities of managing people in a production, engineering, or manufacturing environment. By the end of the programme, participants will not simply be aware of the law — they will understand their personal legal exposure, be equipped to use a structured management system, conduct meaningful risk assessments, and lead a robust accident investigation.

What’s Included:

  • Legal Framework & Responsibilities
  • Scotland’s Health & Safety Context & Statistics
  • Structured Health & Safety Management
  • Risk Assessment
  • Accident Investigation

Delivery Options:

  • Workshops and Seminars: Our half-day interactive course offers hands-on learning, real-world scenarios and the opportunity to engage with peers and expert trainers.

Frontline managers are the foundation of organisational success. By investing in their development, you ensure that your strategies are translated into operational excellence and that your workforce remains motivated, productive and aligned with your business goals.
