  • Shona Clive

    Project Lead for the Rail Cluster and Forth and Tay Offshore project

Shona has led the Rail Cluster Scotland project since August 2020, when she joined Scottish Engineering. With 29 years’ experience in the rail sector, she is well placed to support Scottish SMEs to break into the supply chain, bringing in green solutions and creating local economic opportunities. She is also a Board Trustee and Vice Chair of Women in Rail, and has led the Forth and Tay Offshore Cluster since July 2021, supporting growth in the offshore wind sector on Scotland’s east coast. Outside work, Shona enjoys beach walks with her dog, time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, and playing tennis and golf....

Shona Clive

  • Kevin Duffy

    Solicitor & Legal Adviser

Kevin has been with us since November 2019, and his role comprises advising member companies on employment law issues such as disciplinary, grievance or flexible working. He is an accredited specialist in employment and discrimination law by the Law Society of Scotland, and his background was in engineering before he retrained as a solicitor. Kevin enjoys the variety in his role: one day he can be advising the HR director of a multi-national PLC, and assisting the owner/manager of an SME the next. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys cycling and playing guitar....

Kevin Duffy

Kevin has been with us since November 2019, and his role comprises advising member companies on employment law issues such as disciplinary, grievance or flexible working.   • Marianne Mailey

    Project Officer

Marianne joined the team in February 2023 and works on our Rail Cluster and Forth & Tay Offshore projects. Her duties include producing monthly newsletters and reports for the projects, administering the websites and social media, and meeting with members to support them in their journey into the respective sector. She also supports with event organisation and represents the clusters at industry events, meeting prospective members and sharing information about the projects. Marianne enjoys going out for walks, reading, looking after her growing houseplant collection and spending time with family. ...

Marianne Mailey

Marianne joined the team in February 2023 and works on our Rail Cluster and Forth & Tay Offshore projects. Her duties include producing monthly newsletters and reports for the projects, administering the websites and social media, and meeting with members to support them in their journey into the respective sector. She also supports with event organisation and represents the clusters at industry events, meeting prospective members and sharing information about the projects.     Business Support Administrator

Aine started with us as a Business & Administration Apprentice in October 2022 and has since completed her qualification and remained with us on a part time basis while she pursues a university degree in International Business. Aine is often a first point of contact for members, answering phone calls and welcoming guests into our offices. She also arranges room bookings for members and sets up the space, provides administrative support to other members of the team, and arranges audit visits for our Health, Safety & Systems Manager, David. ...

Aine McKellar

Aine started with us as a Business & Administration Apprentice in October 2022 and has since completed her qualification and remained with us on a part time basis while she pursues a university degree in International Business.     Business Support Administrator

Carolyn joined Scottish Engineering in December 2023 as a Business Support Administrator. She supports the Membership Development and Engagement Team by setting up new members and adding their details to the website. She also assists in delivering the Mentoring Programme by connecting talented professionals from our member companies with trusted and experienced advisors and mentors, handling enquiries, and keeping the mentor’s details up to date on the website. Carolyn balances her role with studying for a degree in Environmental Civil Engineering. Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys going to gigs, traveling, trying new restaurants and cooking. ...

Carolyn McMahon

Carolyn joined Scottish Engineering in December 2023 as a Business Support Administrator. She supports the Membership Development and Engagement Team by setting up new members and adding their details to the website. Since working with us she has taken on managing our Chief Executive Paul Sheerin’s diary and email inbox and supporting our Legal & HR Team with arranging visits. Her duties also include answering phone enquiries, coordinating room bookings for members wishing to hold meetings at our office and helping team manager Marie with organising events. In her free time, Shaznie enjoys going for walks and trying new restaurants....

Shaznie is our newest Business Support Administrator and started with us in September 2024. Sarah also designs and creates graphics, banners, and branded documents, including the Quarterly Review, Pay Benchmark Survey, and First Line Management course materials. Sarah loves baking and often makes "birthday bakes" for the team. She also combines her passion for photography and rugby by capturing action shots pitch-side for a local team....

Ashleigh represents Scottish Engineering at various events and works closely with colleges and universities to strengthen industry connections. Ashleigh enjoys going to watch MMA events, mainly UFC and Cage Warriors, going to gigs (all types of music from indie to techno), and spa days....

She provides advice to members on a range of employment law matters and supports them by reviewing policies and employment contracts. Amie also delivers training for members, including vital employment processes; equality, diversity and inclusion training and the 'Employment Law Essentials' course. She enjoys visiting member sites to see their operations first-hand and learn more about the work they do. Outside of work, Amie can be found either cooking something delicious or reading her kindle. ...
