Back by popular demand, we are excited to announce new dates for our Employment Law Essentials for HR course. This cohort will include a look ahead to changes which will be introduced in the recently enacted Employment Rights Bill and include a review of the government’s ‘roadmap’ on implementation timescales. Practical advice will be provided on preparing for Day 1 unfair dismissal rights, and there will be a comparison between the current regime for dealing with trade unions and the new provisions, in addition to covering all the essential areas of employment law of which HR should be aware.
This two day, in-person course has proved to be very popular with HR managers who would like to add knowledge of Employment Law to their HR skills. Each day will cover a range of different topics so come along and learn more about:
Day 1
- Contracts of Employment and Employment Status
- Unlawful Deduction from Wages
- Unfair Dismissal
- Family/Friendly Legislation
- Transfer of Undertakings
Day 2
- Dealing with Trade Unions
- Discrimination
- Employment Tribunals
Designed to compliment our existing training offerings, aimed specifically at those in HR. It will be presented by Solicitors, Kevin Duffy and Amie Trainor, and is designed to be interactive with attendees encouraged to ask questions as the course is presented. It aims to equip those with regular responsibility for HR with the confidence to be sure that in dealing with HR matters they remain on the right side of employment law, minimising risk to businesses.
