Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day 2026
Tuesday 23 June 2026
Join us for a celebratory breakfast event on Tuesday 23rd June, 09:00–11:00 in the ScotEng office, as we mark International Women in Engineering Day.
A thrilling summer of sport lies ahead for Scotland and what better time to celebrate the intersection between engineering and athletic performance? This International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), join us for an insightful session exploring how engineering intelligence is helping to drive athletes to new heights.
Through a lively fireside chat, inspirational engineers who have turned their passion for sport into remarkable opportunities will share their journeys, and perspectives on the evolving future of women in sport.
We’ll also turn the spotlight onto leadership in engineering. As organisations navigate an ever-changing landscape, the ability to harness technical expertise and translate it into strategic success has never been more critical. Barbara McIntyre, Engineering Director at ScotRail, will share her experiences, leadership insights, and vision for the future of Scotland’s infrastructure.
Expect a dynamic and interactive session, with plenty of opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and put your burning questions to our speakers.
