Legal Update Webinar Dec 2021

Hybrid working, Harassment & Hot Topics

Our final Legal Update webinar of 2021 will be presented by Lindsey Miller, ScotEng Legal and HR Support Manager. This session will provide an in-depth look at the following areas:

  • Hybrid working – the pandemic has brought many changes to the ways people work, in terms of location and use of technology amongst other things. As employers consider the best and most effective ways of working for the future, there has been much discussion in the media and within companies about hybrid working models. If that includes your organisation, what does that mean for it and what are the issues you should consider before rolling it out to employees? And how does it interact with flexible working requests?
  • Harassment – as the government looks likely to legislate to impose a positive duty on employers to take action to prevent harassment, we will look at the current employer’s defence to claims of discrimination (including harassment) and consider what the revised requirements will involve and how an employer can comply.
  • Hot topics – a round-up of recent case law and new and forthcoming employment-related legislation.

There will be opportunities for questions at the end of each section and also at the end of the presentation.
