This workshop will be led by Ian Laird who was previously CEO of Alex Begg, a member company who recently hosted a wonderful Scottish Engineering visit.

Having trained as an engineer, Ian’s career journey spanned many sectors of manufacturing, through production, sales, marketing, and general management.  He blends technical expertise with a customer-first mindset and a belief organisation culture makes a competitive difference. 

Ian combines technical expertise, strategic insight, and people-focused leadership to help businesses achieve their achieve outcomes that are sustainable, scalable, and impactful for key stakeholders.
