Net Zero Home | Webinars On-Demand
The journey to Net Zero is challenging, but we are thrilled to see so many of you embarking on it. This year, we are excited to introduce a new series of Net Zero webinars designed for all members, regardless of where you are on the path to achieving Net Zero.
Our next instalment of the Support Series, which will focus on the ‘Who’ of Net Zero (human and financial resources), we are delighted to be joined by Dougie Knox and Rachel Tulloch, Sector Managers at ESP. ESP (Energy Skills Partnership) is the college sector agency in Scotland for energy transition, zero carbon transport, engineering, construction and STEM whilst leading on the Climate Emergency Skills Action Plan. Our vision is of a college sector working in partnership with Government, agencies and industry to meet national and regional skills needs, maximising investment and job opportunities aligned with emerging technologies, the Climate Emergency and the Just Transition to Net Zero.
Dougie has over 14 years’ experience delivering and developing the curriculum in a wide range of disciplines supporting the Manufacturing, Energy and Renewables sectors, collaborating with Industry partners, government bodies and educational institutions on innovative projects.
Rachel‘s areas of responsibility include hydrogen, low carbon heat, low carbon transport and energy efficiency initiatives. With a background in curriculum design and development of innovative short courses, Rachel has successfully implemented new curricula and learning materials in advanced manufacturing, hydrogen, wind energy, and industrial automation during her time at ESP.
Navigating Net-Zero can be a daunting prospect; therefore, we are extending the offer of tailored guidance through our free 1-2-1 sessions. Our net-zero project lead, Dr. Eric Boinard is on hand to assist SMEs to begin planning their own net-zero route map to ensure that they’re ready to play a role in Scotland’s green recovery, and take full advantage of any opportunities that may come their way. If you’d like to arrange a 1-2-1 session, please contact Eric Boinard ericboinard@scottishengineering.org.uk to discuss further.
