In July 2025 Guala Closures opened a new state-of-the-art, sustainable production facility in Gartcosh, demonstrating the company’s long-term commitment to the UK market, and in particular, the Scottish whisky industry. With 37 production facilities and a presence in over 100 countries, the Guala Closures Group supplies high‑performance closures across spirits, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, edible oils, and condiments. Through close collaboration with customers and design studios, Guala Closures transforms ideas into innovative, manufacturable solutions.
In 2024, the Group achieved over €830 million in revenue, supported by 5,000+ employees, 7 R&D centres, and more than 200 patents—a testament to its continued focus on innovation and industry leadership. In July 2025, the company officially inaugurated its new 20,000 sqm facility in Gartcosh, supported by an investment of more than €60 million. The site is set to employ over 300 skilled professionals, strengthening Guala Closures’ UK presence and contributing significantly to the local economy.
Event Overview
The event will begin with an introduction to Guala Closures, including the company’s journey to establishing the Gartcosh facility, delivered by key members of the leadership team. This will be followed by a guided tour of the plant, offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at the blend of traditional craftsmanship and cutting‑edge technology in operation.
Following the tour, attendees will have the chance to take part in an open Q&A session, before breaking for lunch and networking with peers.
