Angus Training Group Ltd Member Networking and Best Practice Meeting
Thursday 4th December 2025
Join us on Thursday 4th December 10am – 1pm, for an opportunity to share common challenges, better understand how fellow member companies are continuously improving their business, and hear more about Angus Training Group (ATG), which has been at the heart of engineering skills development in Angus for almost 60 years, proudly supporting the next generation of engineers through high-quality apprenticeship training and close collaboration with industry. They work with employers across Angus, Dundee and the wider Tay Cities region to provide practical, hands-on training that reflects real workplace expectations and skill needs.
A key strength of ATG lies in their industry-led approach, small group learning, and personalised support — ensuring every apprentice receives not only technical training, but also the confidence and work readiness needed to thrive in the sector.
What’s New & Exciting for 2025
From next year, ATG will be delivering the NC in Engineering in-house, meaning apprentices will complete both their NC and SVQ Level 2 in their first year, giving employers faster access to better-prepared apprentices with a broader skills base.
They are also running their first Wind Turbine Engineering Pilot, developed in partnership with industry and employability providers to create a direct pathway into the renewables sector. The pilot has already generated outstanding feedback, with participants progressing towards GWO qualifications and guaranteed interview opportunities with employers. This marks a major step for ATG in supporting Scotland’s green energy transition.
What Visitors Can Expect on the Tour
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
✅ Tour the workshop facilities (mechanical, electrical, welding, pneumatics/hydraulics & PLCs)
